Can lake water be used in the bath?

A pool by the lake - what could be an easier and more reasonable way to fill the pool than with lake water. But can lake water be used in a bath? Can the materials of the stove and the heating stove withstand the use of lake water or even sea water? Read what you should consider when you fill the tank with lake water.

Please note these when you fill the tank with lake water

Depending on its size, about 1500–2000 liters of water go into the pile. I would prefer to take that amount of water from the lake, if possible. But is the lake water suitable for paddling? The answer is yes! Lake water can be used to fill the tank, as long as you remember a few things:

  1. Lake water is not as hygienic as good quality household water
Always remember to wash properly before entering the pool, but especially when the pool has been filled with lake water. Lake water is not as hygienic as household water, so the bacteria in it can multiply very quickly in a small and warm water space. The more bathers, the more important it is to remember to wash.
  2. Change the lake water after every bath
Since lake water itself is not as hygienic as household water, the water should generally be changed and washed after every bath. Simply washing with water is not enough, but a washing solution suitable for washing the carpet should be used for cleaning. In this way, bacteria cannot multiply and bathing will be comfortable and hygienic the next time as well. The service life of the water can be extended with the help of oxygen tablets that disinfect impurities (>> link to the product). Oxygen tablets disinfect and oxidize water without chlorine and are thus an environmentally friendly alternative to water purification.
  3. Never fill the tank with lake water where there is blue-green algae
Blue-green algae is toxic and may cause skin symptoms for the most sensitive bathers. During blue-green algae season, you have to be especially careful not to use lake water to fill the tank.
  4. Make sure that the materials of the hot tub and the stove can withstand lake water
Balju are almost always made of such materials that they also withstand the use of lake and sea water. For example, Good Trade Place hot tubs and stoves made of marine aluminum withstand both lake and sea water use well.
  5. Careful washing and protection will keep the bugs away
Wash the bag carefully after use. The stubble can be washed either with detergents intended for it or, for example, with a pine stick and a rough, but not scratchy, brush. At the end of washing, protect the pool with a cover, so that leaves and debris falling from the trees and bird droppings do not get into the pool. After careful washing and protection, you can happily fill the tank with lake water the next time as well.

Can the hot tub be emptied into the lake?

When emptying the hot tub, you always have to think about where to pour the large amount of water.

It is most practical to empty the water from Mökkipalju into the lake, provided that you have not washed in the hot tub. Naturally, chemicals do not belong in lake water, so if chemicals have been used to clean the lake, the water cannot be discharged into the lake, but must be directed to the sewage drain.

Lake water is an ecological way to fill the pond

Lake water is very suitable for filling the tank and is also an ecological way to fill the tank, as long as you remember to respect nature and take care of a few small things.
